In between criticiques, I wanted to share three beer art links:
- Many others have shared this St. Louis Post-Dispatch story on the man who does labels for AB-InBev and other beverage companies, Michael Halbert. Though this blog has a definite craft beer bias, the artwork that goes on Michelob labels isn't easier to create, and it definitely plays into the industry zeitgeist. If nothing else, such things can serve as one more control group by which we measure the differences between craft and macrobrewery culture.
- Josh Christie at Hop Press has a whole post on some of the more interesting "beer gear," including the mandles and glasses you saw here.
- Jay Brooks' ongoing series of posts on beer in advertising and art has North Carolina artist LC Neill's "Heineken Beer Caps."
