Sly Fox Pokes the PLCB

Beernews.org is reporting that Sly Fox in Phoenixville, PA has taken a shot at the Liquor Control Board's recent raids by formally registering a brand called the "Unregistered Ale," and has this image as the brand's visual identity:

Now, the Pour Curator is trying to stay away from politics, but I think it's safe to say we're all in favor of fewer beer raids, and that a state like PA spending time and money on taking away beers is a bit silly.

What I like about the logo is the fox itself. While the color scheme and lettering are fairly straightforward and in keeping with the brewery's general scheme, the orange fox has this great look on his face, as if to say: "Yeah, LCB, I went there. And it's going to be really, really funny when you register this."

  1. Perhaps I'm just out of the PA loop, but what exactly are "beer raids"? Tell me Anheiser-Busch is behind them, and I'll get my shotgun ready.
